Help my Students have any Book at Their Fingertips!!
My students need the Kindle Fire tablets so that they can spend time on Epic, which is an online library for children. These will help my students read books that are on their level.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students come from very low income families, so they really don't get to experience much. We try to show them new things and introduce them to new experiences.
They are really great kids who want to excel and become lawyers and doctors.
It's a great thing that they can see themselves out of the situation they are in, and into a much better one. They strive to do well and try so very hard to do a great job.
I have had the option to go to other schools and to teach with friends of mine, but these kiddos just fill my heart with joy, and I couldn't imagine going anywhere else, even when it can be frustrating at times.
My Project
I have 23 students in my classroom this year. Some of my students have a hard time reading and these Kindle Fires would allow my students that are reading at a lower than grade level reading level choose some books that will interest them through the website Epic. Epic is an online library that opens the world of books up for children. It also allows students that can only read or write in Spanish books in Spanish. That is huge for my school demographic.
Some students are embarrassed because they are not reading at a 5th grade level and they have to get books from the school's media center at their level because I don't have too many lower level books in my classroom library.
Having these Kindles would allow them access to any level and any type of book in Spanish or in English. They wouldn't have to be embarrassed because no one would know what level they were reading on.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
