Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Koreatown is a community with predominantly Latino students. Students at our school have a deep community bond with other students, staff, administration, and teachers. Since the school is K-12, students create a strong bond with one another from the first day of school, and this bond continues until their graduation. Students always support one another and through arguments become stronger.
My students are dedicated and hardworking.
They take care of each other emotionally and physically and also care for the younger students at the school.
My Project
My students are finally back to learning in school after almost two years of distance learning. They are so excited to be back but have a lot to review, and it can be a bit overwhelming.
Having many glow-in-the-dark review days at school will help the students ease into their academic studies.
The UV lights and decorations will transform our classroom to a glow-in-the-dark space. Students will use the games to review Math and ELA questions. Rather than filling out worksheets, the students will answer engaging questions for an opportunity to play the games. Students will use all the toys, UV pens and games to have review sessions.
