My Students

Do you remember the joy opening a new book with a colorful and lively cover and sitting in a comfy seat? Well, I would love to create this moment for my ICT 4th graders! My students come from various backgrounds from a mostly low-income neighborhood. I would love to fill our classroom library with the classic books we remembered when we were their age! Having some cool, new flexible seating choices for them would be amazing too! Let’s keep them focused on becoming better readers!

My Project

By having the choice in seating and book choice, I hope my students will fall in love with reading! Having a variety of classic children’s authors in their library will help expose them to many of the books we grew up with and loved! Many of my students have learning disabilities and are ENL students to having rich exciting reading material will make it easier for them to keep them interested on becoming better readers. Having various seating options will also allow them to have better focus and read for longer periods of time. Having these two elements will help my students improve their reading and concentration skills.
