Help my Students Expand Their Understanding of Other Cultures

Help me give my students culturally diverse books for our 4th-grade book club. This will increase their knowledge and understanding of other cultures particularly after being isolated from other people during the pandemic.

My Students

I have an amazing group of learners that have not had a normal school year after 1st grade. They are adaptable and work hard no matter the circumstances.

Covid had increased the learning gap of my students and decreased their understanding of people around them.

Some students have been able to stay up and move ahead with learning while others have continued to struggle with concepts that they missed when learning at home.

My Project

The headphones will be used to implement the digital programs that we use in our classroom to help our students learn to navigate their Chromebooks. Spending more time navigating their Chromebooks while at school, will help them to be able to easily continue their learning at home if we need to switch to remote learning again.

The new books for our 4th-grade book club will expose students to a variety of other cultures that they were isolated from during the pandemic.

The ottoman seats will encourage kids to read more which will increase reading time and skills within my classroom.

The desk partitions will help my students stay focused as they adjust to full-length school days again.
