Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Koreatown is a community with predominantly Latino students. Students from NOW, have a deep community bond with both students, staff, administration and teachers. Since the school is K-12, students create a strong bond with one another since the first day of school that continues until graduation. Students always support one another; and through arguments become stronger.

My students are dedicated and hard working.

They take care of another emotionally and physically and also of the younger students at the school.

My Project

These whiteboards/clipboards will help my students engage in small groups and whole group discussions. Students will be able to provide answers that can be erased and resubmitted. These whiteboards will help students participate in discussions without having to waste paper and will encourage students to provide individual answers during classroom discussion.

Students will also use the clipboards to carry around any classroom work, and they will use their whiteboards as scratch paper.

Students will use these for all subjects: math (independent work, whole class discussion), science, ELA, social studies and Art. Students will also be responsible for their own whiteboard.
