My Students
My school is located in a low-income neighborhood with students from diverse backgrounds. Over 95% of the population qualifies for free school meals. We are a Title I school. My classroom consists of special needs students who put their best foot forward every day.
My third graders are eager to learn and deserve quality
materials. With differentiated learning needs, having the right materials and resources is key. Each student is unique and has different learning styles. We deserve quality resources and experiences that will shape their future. Being that we are a Title I school, however, it’s often a challenge to find funding to purchase materials and resources. Basic classroom supplies and technology are in high demand in our school. Our students deserve to experience high-quality education and resources to nurture their learning experience.
My Project
These materials will help my students make their learning more visible in the classroom. They will be able to show their work on both sides of the easel and even use chart paper to have work remain up in the classroom. We had some magnetic manipulatives donated to us, and we can not use them as there is not a single magnetic surface in the classroom. We considered dry erase paint but that will not be magnetic for our manipulatives. Please help us get these supplies that will positively impact my students' learning outcomes alongside their journey as lifelong learners.
