Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am an art educator at a title one school in Bronx, NY. The watercolor paper and tempura paint supplies will continue to help my students create beautiful art work that not only encourages creativity and individuality, but also provides a sense of social emotional balance within my classroom. I teach a multitude of students ranging from 3K-5th grade.
When my students enter my room, they're always eager to paint because it gives them a sense of calmness and tranquil experience that they very much need throughout the day.
The different painting projects I create with my students also enhance any cultural awareness or community based projects that keep the students engaged and motivated.
