This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Second grade is so much fun at my school! My students are very inquisitive and kind. They enjoy learning through games, music, and movement.
Center work is key to my students reaching their goals.
These students have a wide variety of needs and small groups helps meet the needs.
My students love to read and to discuss their just right books. They also like to share how they think about math problems. Classroom discussions are an important part of our day.
My Project
In my class we do a lot of small group and partner work. During those times the students benefit from flexible seating. The soft cushions will help create a cozy place for students to read and discuss their books.
Sitting still all day is very hard for a second grader.
The wobble seats will be a great addition to the classroom at the teacher table so students are able to wiggle while learning.
Changing up seating throughout the day lets students take a small break and helps students refocus their brains. The students look forward to the opportunity to use these flexible seating options.
