The students in Room 101 are vibrant hungry minds thirsty to always be learning more in the classroom. Their favorite subject by far is math. The only problem that we face is that my students do not have materials to practice their math fluency skills. This project is to order math manipulatives and materials so that they can play fun and interactive games while still learning new math skills. These materials will be used through out the year to help them build upon their foundational skills and help them develop new ones.
My Project
My students are limited only to the Math books that the school provides and games that I have developed using paper, laminating materials, and re-purposed game pieces. Through using these materials I will be able to create Math centers that the students can rotate through daily to help practice and reinforce skills learned in the daily lessons. Many of these materials can be used for years to come and will be used in a wide range of skills and grade levels if I were to ever switch grade levels. These are materials that can also be used in literacy centers as well!
