Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students and I learn together in New York City Public School Classroom. My students have a range of learning styles and abilities.
In order to help them succeed, I have to differentiate my lessons to meet each child at their current reading level and provide supports to help them meet the standards and their reading potential.
This is why I am requesting Beginning Reader Trackers and a Accelerated Learning Fluency and Comprehension Kit. The reading trackers highlight one line of a text at a time so students can focus on their reading without being overwhelmed. The Learning Fluency and Comprehension kit will help boost the students' fluency and comprehension using high-interest reading cards, vocabulary notebooks, and reading games. I believe these tools will help the students become stronger readers!
