Help me give my students a classroom air conditioner for our exhausting classroom.

My Project
I love teaching my 7th and 8th grade students in the Philadelphia School District. Unfortunately, we are one of many Title I schools in the city with no air conditioning. The heat in my 3rd-floor classroom is absolutely unbearable for our students. Attendance goes down in my classroom on hot days, and those who show up can barely keep their heads up because of the heat. When we leave my classroom, even on days with early dismissals, my students and I are covered in sweat, to the point where I now bring a change of clothes daily.
Our students and classroom staff are continuing to struggle through the unbearable heat in my classroom, and I'm asking for a donation to receive a portable air conditioning unit for my classroom.
Our windows do not open all of the way so we cannot use a window unit. Air conditioning in our classroom would keep students cool, helping them to focus and participate comfortably.
There is a LONG line of teachers who've requested air-conditioned classrooms, and the district doesn't expect us to receive them for years. Even as the weather "cools down" into the low 80s/high 70s, any teacher without air conditioning will vouch that their classroom still feels 10 degrees warmer.
Thank you so much for your time and here's to a great school year!
