My Students
My third grade class this year has 26 excited and hard-working students that are so happy to be in the classroom. These 8 and 9-year olds want to learn and master all of the skills that I am teaching them.
My students each have the passion for learning and the grit to persevere through challenges and hard times.
They do their best to meet hard challenges head-on.
My Project
In order to encourage the students in my class to read I need to make sure that I have books that they are interested in.
Education is changing every single day, and so are the interests of my students.
Students in my classroom like to read about superheroes and villains. My class library doesn't have a large collection of books, so I would like to have books that will hold their interests and keep them reading.
Due to covid reading levels, and interest in reading, are very low in my classroom. My students love to read graphic novels because the pictures make them assessable for all readers. Students who read these graphic novels find reading fun and begin to read more for enjoyment! Helping students begin to learn that reading is fun is perfect way to build better readers. All of these books will help to keep my students engaged and interested in learning and reading!
We will be able to use the notebooks in order to keep track of our reading. With reading notebooks and my student will be able to keep track of papers that go along with their reading in their folders. These supplies will help my students to become organized with their reading and keeping track of their supplies.
We also love science in my classroom, and having safety glasses will make it so we can safely perform science experiments in our classroom!
