This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are composed of a group of individuals that rise to the occasion. Besides being curious, hardworking, and cooperative individuals they often have many obstacles to overcome. This past school year the group that struggled the most was the group that holds an IEP (Individualized Education Program). I remember how much this group of students struggled with acclimating to distance learning. Often the root of the problem was frustration with the use of older Chromebooks and iPads that had been assigned to them by our school.
Regardless, their intrinsic motivation and my will to see everyone succeed got most of them through the school year.
As the new school year approaches, I want to be prepared with helping this specific group have a better start of the school year.
My Project
These Ipads will allow my IEP (Individualized Education Program) students to have access to my remote learning class through the use of up to date, reliable technology. These students need a seamless transition of content from the classroom to their homes and these Ipads will do that plus support their curious minds.
The up to date Ipad will support their academic curiosity and allow them to focus on content rather than worry and stress that their device will not work.
This device will be paired with numerous applications to improve their literacy as well as prepare them to productively use technology in their academic life.
