I am an ambitious teacher with very high expectations for my 10th - 12th grade special education students. Last year, only 1 special education student graduated at our high school. This year, I am poised to propel all 12 special education students to graduation, and a much brighter future... But I cannot achieve this without your help!
My amazingly-talented students are, unfortunately, the 'Marginalized of the Marginalized' in public education- being from high needs communities AND needing special attention for their prominent learning disabilities. Many of my students have such difficulty in writing due to their multiple verbal and writing disabilities that they completely shun the process. The world needs to hear their unique stories!
This is where you come in. My bright and welcoming classroom needs 2 mini, portable laptops that can go where my students go... with word processors that can help them share their stories and increase their self worth and propel their personal goals... and even prepare some of them for college!
