My Students
I have an old sand and water table that is on it's last leg. Almost literally!
I teach an inclusion preschool class with half special needs students and half typically developing students ages two to five years old.
My students love to learn and play. Our school is located in Virginia in an area with a large military population.
My Project
In my classroom we have a sensory center that includes a sand and water table. My students are able to explore the materials in the table as well as working on skills like measuring, and matching. We also use the table as a sensory integration activity for our special needs students.
Our current sensory table is worn out.
A new table with a lid would be a great asset for my students to explore. Sensory integration activities are so important to my students to help them calm down and organize themselves.
