My Project

Every child learns differently. Some focus best at a traditional desk, while others do their best thinking on a wobble stool, balance ball, or cozy floor cushion. In my second-grade classroom, I work hard to make sure students feel safe, seen, and supported—but our current furniture is limiting how much movement and choice I can offer during the school day.

I’m asking for your help to provide flexible seating options such as wobble stools, cushioned floor seats, and lap desks.

I’m also requesting a large, comfortable classroom rug where we can gather for morning meetings, read-alouds, and collaborative group work. These items will help my students stay focused, feel calm, and take ownership of their learning.

With these resources, students will have the freedom to choose how they learn best—whether that means kneeling at a floor desk, curling up on the rug with a book, or bouncing gently on a stability ball during writing time.
