This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

After 22 years as a teacher, I am excited to be teaching kindergarten! I absolutely adore my students and am so happy to be their teacher. More than half of my students are second language learners and I'm thrilled to work with such a diverse and amazing group of children. I look forward to supporting my students' needs through my own continued growth and dedication to being the best teacher I can be.

My kindergartners are an amazing group of kind, patient and resilient children.

Most of them have only experienced school behind a computer screen via distance learning. As we are set to return to our classroom in less than a month, I am looking for ways to comfort and support them in their trasition to a live classroom setting as this will be a huge trasition.

My Project

After over a year of distance learning, my kinders will be returning to our classroom! We are all so excited to meet one another in person!

I'm looking for ways to help them transition and connect to one another through the addition of more social emotional learning stories for read alouds and additional art supplies for engaging, fun and creative arts activities.

I would also like to add additional active seating so every child will be able to move and wiggle throughout their day. Thank you in advance for your support!
