Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are 2nd graders in an ICT setting. They come from a low income neighborhood, with a large population made up of ELL students. Many of my students come from working families which can barely provide the basics, much less any extras.
My students are at all different levels of learning but they do their best to learn what is expected of them.
They try their best and that is all I ask of them. I am proud to be their teacher and do all I can to help them succeed.
My Project
I am looking to get backpacks for my 2nd grade ICT class. My students come from a low income school and many of them do not have new backpacks but instead use old used ones.
Getting new backpacks will make my students so excited!
They will have new fashionable book bags which will allow them to comfortably bring their books back and forth to school.
The theme of my classroom is superhero's so I specifically picked bags that matched the theme. This will help the students feel as if they are part of the classroom community as well as be fun to own.
