Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Let's update our portfolios! Our portfolios are very outdated and they are 10 years old. They are literally falling apart at the seams and the binder clips. It's definitely time and we need your help!
Our Students are Gifted.
They are the brightest students and come to Gifted class once a week for pull-out Gifted instruction. Our school is a low socioeconomic school. Our students do a lot of work in Gifted and need a place to store all of that wonderful work.
My Project
We are in need of 2 inch binders for the Students' Gifted work. We do student-led conferences at the end of the school year and the students will lead a conference with their parents. Our portfolios are very outdated(around 10 years old). Many of them do not open correctly and all of the student's work falls out from the three rings causing more time to be spent putting the work back in the portfolios. Also, because the portfolios we have are 1 inch, we need more room for all of the work that we do throughout the school year in our Gifted class.
Our Gifted students will be very excited I know because they are constantly complaining about the old portfolios.
I have even had some students purchase their own white portfolio because they were tired of having their work constantly fall out of the binder rings.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
