FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Bardin's classroom raised $328
This project is fully funded
I teach a self contained regular 4th grade class. I teach them all the core subjects (math, reading, writing, science, and social studies). Twenty percent of my students are on free or reduced lunch. I have a range of abilities from the very gifted learner to the very slow learner. All students would benefit from having an LCD projector in our classroom.
In a world where technology comes at us from every direction everyday, I feel that my 4th grade students need to be on the cutting edge. I would like to be able to show them the world through the internet, and use the computer to play learning games with my class. Right now, if I want my class to play Jeopardy to review for a test, or I want to show them a great website about the Revolutionary War, I have to schedule a time to take them to the computer lab where we have a projector that can show these things on a big screen all the students can see. I would love to be able to show these things in my room when it suits my schedule, instead of having to be at the mercy of another teacher's schedule. I also have the capability to download wonderful clips of videos about various subjects I teach, but I have no way to show them in my room. I would love to have an LCD projector in my classroom so that all of my students can benefit from resources on the internet, Powerpoint presentations, games, and streaming videos. This projector would become a tool that I would use daily in all the subjects I teach in fourth grade.
