Help me give my students books that teach them about the world around them! This project is filled with books about history, trailblazers in history, influential people in current times, how things were created, and so much more!

My Project
My project will provide my 6th graders with a rich collection of engaging nonfiction books that open windows to the world around them. By adding these books to our classroom library, I will empower students to explore topics ranging from science to history to current events, giving them vital background knowledge and sparking their curiosity. Many of my students have limited access to nonfiction texts outside of school, and this project will help build their confidence, improve reading skills, and strengthen their understanding of the world, preparing them to become thoughtful, informed, and inspired citizens.
When kids have access to nonfiction books, they have access to the history of the world around them and the power to change their futures; when kids learn about people who changed the world, it empowers them to believe that they, too, can change the world.
