My Students

Most of my students come from a high needs area where they do not have much access to technology. I teach 4th grade Math and Science and having technology can really help encourage learning in the classroom. This technology will allow my students to access websites and apps to help them learn.

I teach at a Title 1, Renaissance school in the Tampa Bay Area.

My school is 98% free and reduced lunch, and is a very high needs school. These students really want to learn and use technology but don't always have the resources at home. They come to school everyday and want to learn.

My Project

Since most of my students do not have a computer or much technology at home, I want to show them what different apps there are to help with Math and Science. Using these tablets they will be able to search the Internet to locate information for Science Fair and Math Projects. These tablets will give us additional technology to do research on, utilize math and science websites. The headphones and speakers will allow us to listen to videos designed to help our learning.

This project will immensely make a difference for these students.

They will be able to use this technology to use math and science, research and look up information. It will expand how we learn in our classroom. This additional technology will allow more students to access math and science based websites, and learn through the learning apps.
