My Students
My sweet second graders need a place to sit when we meet together as a whole class. So many things happen at the front of the room- read alouds, morning meeting, and mini lessons.
My students deserve a comfortable place to sit when we share our time together.
Second graders tend to be very active, so having a visual boundary of where they should be sitting will help keep them centered so that they can focus on learning and being engaged in our classroom activities.
My Project
I am going into my third year teaching at a wonderful school in rural Oregon. My classroom has laminated tile flooring, but my students have no place to sit for whole-group learning. I often tell my class to "meet me at the carpet area," and they always remind me that there is no carpet!
In order to create an amazing, motivational learning environment, I would like to purchase a new carpet that will fit all of my amazing students.
Classroom rugs are a huge expense, and any funds raised on this site would greatly benefit the education of my kiddos!
