This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My class' educational experience has been impacted by COVID. We have been working very hard throughout the last couple of years to help our students get back to normal. The class of kids that I have this year were in preschool the year that COVID hit.
My students were just beginning their schooling careers.
We as teachers are still dealing with the aftermath of this. The supplies I am asking for will help my students with their emotional support during this time. We teach social-emotional learning at our school and are always needing resources. The items I have chosen will help me with helping my students emotionally. I will use the emotional learning books for my students to learn about how to deal with emotions and each other. I will be using these resources during my morning meetings. I like to connect with my students and having these emotional learning resources will really help. I will use the wobble stool legs and the calm strips to help my students work on calming themselves so that they are better learners at school. The rug will help my classroom feel welcoming to students as they walk into my classroom every morning. I will use the fidget toys to put into my sensory box where kids can have a break from learning to refocus. I have to worry about keeping my classroom clean so the Lysol wipes will help me keep my classroom surfaces clean. Thank you for considering my project.
