Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are incredibly creative scholars who have a passion for science, technology, engineering, and math to make a positive change in their community.
Their focus on STEM and community service have already had a demonstrably positive influence on our community in Phoenix.
Ranging from 7-12th grade, they are focused on having a long-term impact on our neighborhood, their families in their lives. They come to school excited to learn, and many upperclassmen are dually-enrolled with one of our nearby college partners.
My Project
Every year, there are hundreds of new products, programs, models and strategies to help educators better support their students. It's a lot to keep track of!
My school needs me to attend the ISTE conference so I can identify promising EdTech, personalized learning, and broader teaching practices and then bring them back to our school!
Sadly, my school doesn't have the funds to cover my trip. That's where you come in! With even a small donation, you can help me get to ISTE! While at the conference, I will attend sessions about EdTech data management, emerging programs that could help my students, and approaches to personalizing learning in the classroom. With the knowledge I learn, we'll be affecting more than 30 teachers and 570 students. Talk about exciting. Thanks for considering my project.
