Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
When you are one of our students, you are part of the family. Our school has a tradition of pride and excellence, as well as a tight-knit community. Our students love to participate in learning opportunities of all kinds, including our book clubs and literacy experiences that deepen their knowledge and connect them with others, their community, and with history.
My Project
Every day my students come to school to learn and connect. In order for them to be able to focus, basic needs have to be met. Having food and liquids in the body helps the brain function and learning happen. This project is intended to have on hand food, drink and hygiene items that students ask me for on a daily or at least a weekly basis. I loaded up this project with items such as water bottles, hydrating drinks, snack foods, and soap to wash their hands before and after eating.
