My Students

Students investigate mathematical properties collaboratively on a daily basis. They find the heights of tall buildings in our neighborhood using geometry and create nutritious snacks using systems of equations. We enjoy creating beautiful visual representations of our learning together.

My students come from every zip code in Philadelphia and learn in many different ways.

Most of them qualify for free-and-reduced lunch and enjoy the safe learning community within our walls as a reprieve from more stressful neighborhood environments. They are inquisitive and creative, caring and compassionate, and I look forward to working with them every day.

My Project

My students need tools to measure such as rulers and protractors as well as supplies, including glue, markers, and scissors, to add creativity to projects. My students will use these materials to measure real-life objects and create blueprints to represent their dream houses. They will cut, color, and glue together projects throughout the year that demonstrate their understanding of new mathematical concepts. Together we will use these resources to visualize math and share our ideas with the world.

Your support will brighten up the learning environment for my students and will bring smiles to their faces whenever we use these supplies.

Students will use these materials for years to come.
