My Students

My students are imaginative and fun-loving kids. They come from low-income households and have not had much experience with the world outside their small community.

My students all have been diagnosed with Autism, so traditional paper packets don't work for them.

They need hands-on items so that the parents can engage them with coaching from the teacher.

My Project

My students are ages 3-5 and they have all been diagnosed with Autism. Due to the pandemic, they are expected to learn online at home. This is a new and trying experience for us.

My students don't have the materials they need at home.

These little guys are expected to learn at home. I'm hoping to get some writing options into their homes so that parents can engage with the student while I coach them. My students need large crayons and pencils available in the home so that the parents can engage them in meaningful activities while I coach them. Having writing materials at home will give them access to a more meaningful learning experience.
