This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The Coronavirus has devastated my students. Students have been unmotivated and stressed. It has been difficult to get students engaged consistently. Surrounding my school is a low-income and impoverished neighborhood. Some of my students struggle with issues that are beyond the classroom. While others do their best to strive for excellence. The culture is predominantly African American and Hispanic students, which means funding for my school is not great. Parents and guardians often can not afford to get the students adequate supplies that are needed to help aid them throughout the school year which stifles their success. Covid pandemic has added to this complication.

My Project

The reality is that moving to an online classroom setting makes it imperative that I begin creative and innovative ways of teaching my students.

I do not have a personal computer at home and getting this computer enables me to continue to advance my students by administering digital instruction, video conferencing, and engaging lessons virtually.

In addition, obtaining a computer would allow me the opportunity to participate in training sessions for growth and development professionally, learn new educational programming, and technological tools to provide my scholars with a rigorous and enriching educational experience.
