My Students
I teach in a very diverse school in Brooklyn in which 50% of the students receive free lunch. My class has eighteen pre-kindergarten students who love learning. My students are creative and curious and I want pre-kindergarten to be a wonderful experience for them.
My children love to come to school and learn.
They like to explore, ask questions, solve problems, work on projects, build exotic constructions, and play. They teach each other new things and they inspire me every day.
My Project
My students will be learning about the rainforest. I want them to be young researchers who learn from multiple sources so I need books that I can read to them about jungle plants and animals. We will talk about the differen layers in the rainforest and turn our classroom into a rain forest habitat. In order to do that, I need paper to create the background and the trees. My students will create artwork that will fill our walls., The children learn to pretend to be some of the animals, learn songs, and much more. You can help us make this a reality!
