My Students
This year my district has set up a virtual academy for students and families who want to stay in virtual learning, and I am teaching 5th grade virtually again! I loved it last year and my students really thrived, despite the challenges we faced. I teach at a low-income urban school district and most of my students are performing below grade level.
My students are doing very well with virtual learning, they're trying very hard to learn to navigate the digital world!
They love being competitive at the end of each lesson - they're also great at utilizing teamwork and positive talk when participating in class!
Regardless of the challenges, my class is full of smiles and laughs! Now we just need some supplies to keep them having fun while they learn!
My Project
Teachers Pay Teachers is a wonderful resource to find fun activities, games, and practice work for students that help teachers like me with planning and executing independent and small-group work, but it also helps teachers in the community who made and sell their resources!
TPT helps me to find fun games for our morning circles, targeted and specific practice sets for independent student work, as well as engaging activities for small group centers!
I am able to find resources quickly for every subject that fits my class needs and can help me scaffold my students so they can reach grade-level standards. I love that is made by teachers, for teachers! It's a small way I can help my classroom and fellow teachers at the same time!
