Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I will use this computer to show hispanic and non-hispanic (a very diverse class) the value and achievements of hispanic people in our society. In our current times, it is important to show future generation the POSITIVE accomplishments of hispanic as well as the cultural beauty and the magnificence of the Spanish language. With this computer, I can research original source material such as shows, stories, culture relevant event: Holidays (Cinco de mayo, Dia de los Muertos, Pasadas) I can also find authentic materials from Spanish countries such as similar work the students in those countries work on in order to be exposed to what the students in those Spanish countries are learning. And more important, I want to show the student the influence of Spanish people within the United States throughout history to the present. This is in some ways the most important because it is the most relatable as they can see it a lot the recognize. By exposing my students to these material and media with the help of this This technology, it will help inspire, connect, and expand their mind about other cultures which some of them are related. The next generation need to see the value of other cultures and language aside their own or even perhaps see a culture their family are connected from the place of origin. Learning about other culture the we either connected or not has been a mind set that American culture has been involved since our founding fathers such as Thomas Jefferson promoted for our educational system, so I would like to continue the tradition of World Language, culture and traditions. Help me teach the great contributions that Spanish culture, people and traditions have influence our own American culture. Muchas Gracias!
