This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
In my classroom, I celebrate every victory big or small! I have 12 students with Autism who have mild to moderate disabilities. Every day I strive to teach my students independence and to reach their greatest potential. If they leave my classroom feeling confident and loved, I know I have done my job. My students are unique and beautiful in their own special way.
I teach on the core curriculum but I modify and accommodate my curriculum for each of my students, so they can be successful.
I get so excited when my students accomplish their work and goals ! My favorite moments are when my students use their words to communicate with me and their peers. I have a shy class with many different developmental levels. I believe every child is able to learn and work hard if they are met at their level and can be pushed to strive for more.
My Project
This gift will help me purchase engaging lessons and activities created by hard working and talented teachers. As a new teacher to the curriculum this will help guide my teaching and help me teach my students in an interesting and fun way. Teachers pay teachers helps students in so many ways because it allows teachers to share materials and ideas with new teachers . I know my students need a lot of differentiation , teachers pay teachers allows me to save time and gain so many wonderful materials for special education .
