My Students

I teach in a neighborhood on the south side of Chicago in an international charter school that runs Kindergarten-8th grade. I have a class of 30 students from incredibly diverse backgrounds. We strive to build a sense of community and inclusion in our classrooms. Our students have come from various hardships and trauma. We come to school every day working with our students on not only their academic needs but also their emotional needs. My goal is to provide my students with resources to help them thrive and succeed. At this school, we strive to close the academic gap that you'll find in low-income communities.

My Project

Students in low-income communities tend to not have the resources available to them to further their academic needs. With this printer, I will be able to send resources home for further practice in English and in Spanish without printing restrictions.

I will be sending home subject practice for individualized needs.

With this printer, I will also be able to supply parents with the resources that they need at home. I want to be able to provide any extra assistance that I can that will benefit not only my students but their families as well.
