My Project
I am the EL Coordinator for over 200 bright, kind, multilingual elementary students. These students come from the Marshall Islands, Kosrae, Philippines, Central America, Mexico, Russia, and Ukraine. Each year, we administer an English proficiency test called ACCESS - WIDA to measure growth in English language acquisition.
My goal is to help these students do the best they can by providing them with a little snack to give them energy and an incentive to encourage them to do their best.
The students work hard all year long, learning academic English, math, ELA, science, and social studies. I know their hard work, and this test is their chance to show it.
