My Students
My kids come from a place where they have received very limited resources at home, and unfortunately at school too. They are not given the materials that are necessary for them to develop their minds to the full potential. These children are so talented and special, and just need to receive equitable opportunity that other schools get to reach their full potential.
We are working day in and day out to show these kids that they can learn and they will succeed!
My Project
Distance learning is already going to have many challenges as is. A huge challenge is going to be classroom management and monitoring student engagement. That is where the second monitor comes in!
With the second monitor, I will be able to teach synchronous lessons on my work laptop and be able to view my students at the same time!
If I am presenting the lesson, I can't typically see if my students are watching or engaging. This will help me keep my students excited and focused, so they can thrive the way I know they can!
The kinetic sand is an extremely therapeutic way for the students to relieve their stress and anxiety. It's perfect for calming down and refocusing- I plan on splitting this up between my students to send home!
