Help me give my students the mitts they need to continue to grow and to love baseball. They need these mitts to work on ground ball drills and outfield drills.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My baseball team is a group of motivated, intelligent, and eager students that are up for the challenges that present themselves on and off the field.
They have been conditioning for the past 3 1/2 months, they have a burning desire to learn everything they can about baseball!
Since the start of training, there is a true sense of teamwork and support within the team. These students have intentions of pursuing baseball over the next 4 years until they graduate high school. Our school's athletic budget is very small so it is necessary that we supplement it through fundraising efforts. The guys are excited to train and play!
My Project
Hello we have requested these mitts as it will help some of our kids to participate at practice without having to ask a teammate for a mitt. Some of our kids are trying out for baseball for the first time and can't afford a mitt. Some feel discouraged because they don't have one or can't afford one.
These mitts are for infielders and outfielders.
Hopefully we can find a few kids that can transition to playing some key positions for us and develop them into outstanding student-athletes. These mitts will mean a lot to our kids and our program as we are building for the future.
