Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am a first-grade teacher of English Language Learners. My students come from different cultural and educational backgrounds. They all bring into the classroom their rich, cultural experiences.
In my bilingual class, I have to teach and ensure that all my students learn all subjects, including reading, writing, math, and science.
My students are at-risk and come from high poverty. Therefore, due to their limitations, my students are in need of additional resources in order to be able to learn and succeed.
My Project
In the classroom we work on our writing center. My students have a chance to practice and reinforce their writing skills. The Writing Center consists of daily routines that my students follow in order to complete their writing assignment.
However, in order for the writing center to run smoothly we must have organization in the classroom.The ten drawer cart and the paper trays will facility the writing process for my students.My students will be able to find everything that they need in the drawer cart and on the paper trays.
They will not waste any time looking for papers or items that they will need for the writing center. They will easily go to the drawer cart and to the paper trays and quickly find what they need. They will also have more to explore their imagination when they write.
