This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I have an amazing group of students who are eager and enthusiastic learners. They are very curious about how the world works and excited to learn about everything.
My students are a group of second graders who attend a small school in a large city in Southern California.
We are an anomaly in our school district. We are a high performing school with low income students. Our school is quite diverse and has great parent involvement. Despite all our successes, funding is a great issue at our school.
I am requesting headphones for my students. Our school district is embarking a new assessment program which requires our students to have their own headphones. Our school is limited in funding and will not purchase headphones for my primary grade students.
Your generous donation will help my students with assessments and the ability to access the programs that follows the assessments.
More than half of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
