My Project
I would love to be able to create a Mario Kart themed room transformation for my students to enjoy during state testing. I have a hard working and ambitious group of 4th graders. They work hard and refuse to give up until they accomplish their goals.
Classroom transformations increase student engagement and motivation and can make highly stressful standardized testing a lot more enjoyable for students!
State testing and preparation is a month that can be very stressful and boring for many students. As a teacher, there is not much flexibility in what I am able to do with my students during this time. I pride myself in creating an environment where learning is fun and the students want to engage, so I am getting creative this year. I will create learning materials to go alongside the Mario Kart décor to really make the theme come to life!
The supplies in this project will provide me with everything I need to transform my room into a DIY Mario Kart scene. Some of the items are premade but I will also use the supplies in the project to create some of the items by myself to save on cost!
