This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am a first-grade teacher of English Language Learners. They all come from different cultural and educational backgrounds. They all bring into the classroom their rich, cultural experiences.

In my Bilingual class, I have to teach and ensure that all my students learn all subjects like reading, writing, math and science.

My students are at-risk and come from high poverty. Therefore, due to their limitations, my students are in need of additional resources in order to be able to learn and succeed.

My Project

My first grade students are currently struggling on how to write letters. They try very hard to make letters but unfortunately, they have not been successful.

My students are in need of additional support and resources that will assist them in learning how to write letters.

My students will be able to use these resources in order to be able to learn how to write each letter. It is extremely difficult for some of my students to be able to write upper and lowercase letters. Therefore, my students will be able to see the proper way of writing each letter by using the writing letters practice books. They will be able to trace the letters on the books. The practice books are perfect since they are write and wipe. Therefore, if my students make a mistake, they can easily erase it. Daily, they will have the opportunity to learn new handwriting skills and also improve their motor skills.
