it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Ensuring my students have access to healthy snacks throughout the day can significantly impact their overall well-being and academic performance. Many of our students at our school rely on school lunches as their main source of sustenance, which may not always provide sufficient nutrition to sustain them throughout the day. Consequently, students often come to class hungry, leading to distraction and decreased focus on learning.
By offering healthy snacks in the classroom, students have the opportunity to refuel and stay energized, promoting better concentration and cognitive function.
Nutrient-rich snacks such as those requested provide nutrients and sustained energy, helping students stay alert and engaged during lessons.
Moreover, regular access to healthy snacks supports physical health by promoting balanced nutrition and preventing energy crashes associated with consuming sugary or processed foods. It also instills positive eating habits that can benefit students beyond the classroom, promoting long-term health and well-being.
Overall, providing healthy snacks in the classroom creates a supportive environment where students can focus on learning without the distraction of hunger, ultimately enhancing their academic success and overall educational experience.
