This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This paper will be used to enhance learning through various written and creative activities that are essential for a well-rounded educational experience.

Studies suggest that writing by hand improves memory retention and comprehension.

Students who write notes and assignments are more likely to remember the content compared to those who type. Paper provides a tangible medium for creative projects. In math, the process of writing the steps in each problem on paper allows students to visualize and organize their thoughts better. Kinesthetic learners benefit from hands-on activities that involve drawing, cutting, and assembling.

Additionally, prolonged use of screens can lead to digital eye strain and other health issues. By incorporating paper into learning, we can help mitigate the negative effects of excessive screen time and promote better eye health. Technology often leads to multitasking and distractions, which can hinder students' ability to focus deeply on a single task. Digital activities lack the tangible nature of paper-based learning.

Over-reliance on technology can create a dependency that might limit students' problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills. Paper-based activities offer an opportunity for students to develop these skills independently of digital tools.

While our school provides technology for all our students, not all students have equal access to high-speed internet at home.

Providing 30 reams of paper for my 100 sixth-grade students will significantly enhance their learning experience by supporting diverse learning styles, promoting creativity, and reducing the negative effects of excessive screen time. By balancing paper-based and digital activities, we can create a more inclusive and effective educational environment that caters to the needs of all students.
