Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students need a couch to be able to nap and sit when they are feeling tired or cranky. It will also double as a reading area when the children feel like they need to have their own space bubble away from other students.
Many of our students come from low income families who are not always able to put their children to bed on time due to work and other obligations.
The children would benefit from a nap and relaxation area where they can close their eyes and wake up ready to learn a couple of minutes later. They can also benefit from sitting on the couch reading a book to help calm them down when playtime becomes too difficult for them.
