My Students

As an International Baccalaureate World School, we want students to be inquirers, and be curious about the world around them, and work collaboratively. We are an urban school with socio-economic and cultural diversity. Our students and teachers are a diverse group, each bringing unique strengths to our educational program. This year I have Somalian, Spanish, and English speakers in our classroom. These students need to be able to work and communicate with each other to be successful and feel a part of our community. The mission of our school is to develop lifelong learners and globally-minded citizens by fostering the academic, creative, and social skills needed to achieve excellence and competence in a multicultural world.

My Project

During this conference, I will spend four days with Team Get Your Teach On as they share their passion and enthusiasm for education and give me their tips, tricks, best practices, and teacher secrets to building a successful, engaging, & RIGOROUS classroom.

I will leave feeling empowered, motivated, and prepared to create dynamic lessons that will challenge your students and leave them hungry for more.

Get Your Teach On is sure to be unlike any other educators’ conference that I've ever attended. I'm ready to pack my favorite teacher bag and get ready for some educational magic! This experience will make learning in my classroom a celebration!
