Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As a dual language teacher in a Tier 1, low-income district, I serve 48 incredible students who are learning and growing in both English and Spanish. Our classroom is more than just a place to learn—it's where many of my students feel safest, heard, and supported. That's why I'm committed to creating an environment that feels like home—one that celebrates their culture, supports their language development, and offers them choices in how they learn best.
This project will help transform our classroom into a more language-friendly environment by fostering flexible spaces for the students, with the goal of fostering a love for the Spanish language.
With your support, I hope to build a space with this carpet and stools where students feel ownership of their learning and pride in their bilingualism.
