Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Do you remember what it is like to look for something you need to use and can't find it. We need storage to organize our materials so we can easily find our supplies.
Ninety percent of the students at my campus are from socially economic disadvantaged homes.
My class consists of students with moderate to severe disabilities, including physical and/or cognitive. This is the first year for the classroom on this a campus of a school that is in its second year of operation.
My Project
Our day begins with calendar time and music. I am requesting a storage cabinet for the CD player, calendar supplies. This cabinet will help get our day off to a good start. The students participate with their own binders and dry erase markers. The cabinet will allow for the materials will be readily available for the students. I am also requesting an open storage shelf with storage trays that will house the students independent work assignments. This will allow the students to follow their daily routine and get their own independent work, take it to the study area to complete. The students will learn to become independent learners.
Due to budget cuts, we need support from donors to provide accessible storage for my students.
Donations to this project will assist in developing the independent skills of my students.
