This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am requesting a listening center filled with books that are inviting. I am a Kindergarten teacher who has been given the opportunity to serve in a low income community at our school.
My students are usually eager to learn and have many great qualities. They come from homes where reading may not be promoted. Which is why independent reading can sometimes be a challenge. Especially since students are developing their language skills.
I am creating this cart for audio books with the hopes that i can have a listening center in my classroom. The purpose of this listening center is to diversify my reading block and to ultimately help expose students to language through books.
