Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This year I'm teaching Kindergarten for the first time, and for many of my students, this is their first year in school. Not all students in Washington Heights have been in pre-school like kids in other districts. I'm starting the school year focusing right now on teaching them the alphabet, numbers, sounds, and how to write their letters and numbers.
To help them accomplish these key goals that are the building blocks of their education, I need your help in getting their desks and the classroom organized.
This will help my students to keep the materials they need in front of them as they learn the fundamentals. The caddy's will go on their desks to hold pencils, crayons, markers, and manipulatives. The seat bags will go on the back of each of their chairs to hold their books so that every student has their own private space to keep their worksheets and books in. The storage boxes will hold more books, blocks, counting bears, dry erase boards and more.
