Help Me Buy Office Supplies K-2 Special Education CBI Class

My Project

I am a special education 3rd-5th grade interventionist this year and I am moving to a Special Education K-2nd grade Community Based Instruction (CBI) classroom this fall. I will have 8-12 students with moderate to severe disabilities that can include students that are non-verbal, autistic, wheelchair bound and other disabilities. This classroom did not have a teacher at all last year and I want to make this room organized, aesthetically beautiful and sensory pleasing to these special needs students because they deserve it. As an interventionist I do not have my own classroom so I have nothing to bring to this classroom. I have very few office supplies that will be needed to run this classroom and get it ready for school year. With today's economy and going back to school this summer it will not be financially possible for me at this time to buy extra supplies that are needed.

The goal for this project is to help me purchase needed office supplies for my 2 paras and me to help get this classroom ready for students.

It sounds like this wouldn't be a big problem, but office supplies start to get expensive. Also since this is a low income school, students don't usually come with supplies like pencils, scissors and crayons so I would like to purchase these items. As a special education teacher, I do a lot of paperwork. So I need items like envelopes for parent correspondence, a stapler and other everyday office items to make this part of the classroom work and be successful. Its kind of hard to staple things on a bulletin board without a stapler. We will need items like velcro dots, a hot glue gun and construction paper to get students folders, schedules and task boxes set up.
